Due to a recent competitive procurement, the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (department) is announcing that NDC Health (dba Per-Se Technologies) will be the sole switch for electronic pharmacy claims effective May 1, 2006. WebMD (Emdeon Business Services) will no longer provide switching services directly to the department.
This change affects pharmacy claims associated with the Illinois Medicaid and Illinois Cares Rx (formerly SeniorCare and Circuit Breaker Pharmaceutical Assistance) programs. Pharmacies currently using WebMD should contact WebMD for specific information regarding their current arrangements for switching services.
