Babies, children and teens
through
age 20 can get Free checkups with
their MediPlan or All Kids Card.
With a Healthy Kids checkup your
doctor checks that your baby,
child or teenager is healthy and
will stay that way.
Why Should I Take My Child
for a Healthy Kids Checkup?
With regular checkups, you can be
sure your child's immunizations are
up-to-date. Your doctor will find and
treat problems before they become
serious or life threatening to your
child.
A Healthy Kids checkup meets the
requirements for Head Start,
school, camp, daycare, sports
programs and WIC.
Your doctor can also answer your
questions about the health of your
baby, child or teen.
With a Healthy Kids checkup, your
child will get the medical care that
he or she deserves.
Don't
Forget Their Teeth!

Other Questions
My child was sick and I took him to
see the doctor. Does this count as a
Healthy Kids checkup?
No. A visit to
your doctor
with a sick child
is not the same
as a Healthy
Kids checkup.
The doctor
may not do a
complete exam
or screen for
other problems
when your child
is sick.
My child looks healthy. Do I really
need to take her to the doctor for a
checkup?
Yes. She may have problems that
you cannot see. Only your doctor can
find problems like lead poisoning,
hearing loss or slow growth or
development. Your doctor must
check your child regularly, even if
he or she Looks healthy.
