The American College of Obstetricians
and Gynecologists, the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy
of Pediatrics and the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians encourage
screening for perinatal depression. A new service has been established
for provider consultation. You may consult with psychiatrists from
the Women's Clinic at the UIC Department of Psychiatry regarding
the managment of patients with perinatal depression by calling a toll-free
number, 1-800-573-6121.
